As the world’s 4th largest economy, California has always been on the cutting edge of innovation and new technology development. We are proud to be a part of this powerful ecosystem which is driving the state’s economy and providing so much opportunity for our citizens.
Meet Our Director
Dr. Cynthia West is the Assistant Dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs for the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics at Chapman University. After spending 30 years as a sales and marketing leader for tech startups, she returns to her roots in academia. Dr. West has raised over $2 million in funding and launched 10 new programs for entrepreneurs.
She was awarded the Women of Influence for Innovation in 2025 (Greater Irvine Chamber) and Partner of the Year 2024 (Brea Chamber). Dr. West is the author of Techno-Human Mesh: The Growing Power of Information Technologies which predicted the challenges created by the tech industry 25 years ago.
